Public school week continues

Texas Public School Week activities continue in the Rockdale ISD with a full slate of programs Thursday and Friday as follows:

THURSDAY

• 7:30 to 8 a.m., Grub for Grandparents breakfast, elementary cafeteria.

• 6 p.m., One Act Play rough run-through, RHS auditorium, public invited.

• 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. ACE Open House, intermediate campus.

FRIDAY

• 7:20 to 7:50 a.m., Grandparents breakfast, , intermediate cafeteria.

7:45 a.m. National Honor Society Parent Honor Roll Breakfast, Rockdale High School.

• 8:15 a.m. fourth-grade slide show from writing camp, intermediate cafeteria.

• 8:30 a.m., first grade Gifted & Talented project presentations, Rockdale Elementary School.

• 1:30 p.m., Family Game Day, instructional games in the intermediate cafeteria.

• 2 p.m., first-grade Texas Program, elementary gym.

ACTIVITIES—There have already been numerous activities the first three days of Public School Week.

Moms and dads have had their own breakfast events with students and parents are reading to classes during the week. Student art has been on display at each campus.

The junior-high hosted a family science night on Monday and the elementary campus was the site of a career day Tuesday.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
