Bulldogs drop district opener to Florence

FLORENCE—The Thorndale Bulldogs opened up District 12- 2A play with a 13-3 loss to Florence.

The Bulldogs stand 6-3 on the season, while Florence improves to 9-1.

Thorndale was handcuffed by Seth Hallmark who fanned 11 batters in improving his mark to 3-0.

Paxton Jordan took the loss for the Bulldogs for his first loss of the season against two wins after allowing 12 hits.

The Bulldogs were coming off a 3-1 showing at the Leon Tournament.
