Milano softball earned just its second win of the season on Friday, ending their pre-district schedule on a high note with a no hitter from senior pitcher Masey Turnage. The Lady Eagles open up District 27-A play on Friday when they host No. 20 Granger at 11 a.m. and then travel to No. 17 Thrall on Tuesday.

It was the first time for Turnage to see the mound this season and she did not disappoint. She stuck out seven batters in three innings, giving up no hits and no runs as the Lady Eagles(2- 10-1) run-ruled visiting Mumford 21-0.

Milano put up eight hits, including a home run for Allison Dodd who was two for four at the plate with five RBIs.

Turnage helped her own cause going three for four with two doubles, an RBI and four stolen bases.

Emily Overall and Stonie Guthrie each went three for three with Overall tagging three doubles and six RBIs, while Guthrie had two RBIs and three stolen bases.
