RFCU’s annual meeting, board election Monday
Rockdale Federal Credit Union will hold its 2011 annual meeting and board election Monday, Ma rch 28 at t he K nig hts of Columbus Hall, US 79 east.
Ron Montgomery, RFCU president, said doors will open at 4:30 p.m., refreshments will be available from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., and the annual meeting w ill be held from 5: 30 until 6:30 p.m.
RFCU offices in Rockdale and Thorndale will close at 4 p.m. Monday, but both drive-through facilities will be open until 4:30, he said.
Election—Three RFCU board positions will be elected. Ballots will be distributed when members enter the hall and w ill be collected af ter the board chair calls for the ballots to be counted, Montgomery said.
The 2011 RFCU board candidates are:
• Boyd Taylor, a director for 6 years, a supervisory committee member for one year, a 34-year RS&S employee, a 34-year member of United Steelworkers of America Local 4895, a member of the MARC Center board of directors, a former Democratic Partyprecinctchair,former e-board member and treasurer of Local 4895, former church council member, and an RFCU member since 1977.
• Milton Holmes, RFCU board member for 15 years, supervisory committee member for one year, former constable of Milam County Precinct 3 for 24 years, Alcoa smelter potrooms employee 31 years (retired), First Baptist Church deacon, American Legion and VFW member, Rockd a le Ma son ic Lodge No. 414 past master, Salvation Army representative, and RFCU member since 1980.
• Henry James Bradford, RFCU board member 14 years, Alcoa and TXU Mines, 38 years (retired), Rising Star Baptist Church deacon chair, Bartlett Electric Co- Op board member, Brazos Electric Co- Op board member, RFCU member since 1985.
