Ladies Auxiliary to hold clothing sale on April 2

Milano Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will have a pre- Easter clothing sale for one day only, Saturday, 2 at the Milano Community Center (downtown across from the post office). The sale is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Come get better clothes for a lower price.

Milano Lodge #605 AF& AM will hold its 11th annual golf tournament to benefit the group’s scholarship fund on Saturday, April 16 at the Cameron Country Club. For more information, contact Jesse Love, 512-455-7915 or Aaron Alford, 512-446-5450.

A local group has formed a Relay For Life team, “ Team Tammy” in honor of breast cancer survivor Tammy Storey of Milano. They will be holding fund-raisers in the coming weeks so watch this column for more details. Upcoming events at Milano ISD include: March 24, School board meeting; March 25, AR Reading Day; March 29, Spring pict ures; March 28- Apr il 1, Elementary Book Fair; March 29, Book Fair Parent Night at Elementary Library, 5:30 p.m.; April 1, PATCH Club pizza sales delivery.

If you missed the Master Peace Quartet on Friday night, you missed a blessing. The Civic Center had a full house. These four gentlemen have God given talent and use it to praise Him. I hope we are blessed with their talent again. Thank you senior citizens for sponsoring the show.

We extend our sympathy to the Oliver (Sonny) Blakely family on the death of his sister Mildred Simmons of Gause.

Granddaughter Hannah Kay celebrated her third birthday on Saturday with family and friends at the Milano Civic Center with young guests dressed in character costumes. Games were played and everyone enjoyed a hot dog meal with all the trimmings, birthday cake, cupcakes and ice cream.
