Sedlack

Graveside services with military honors for William “Bill” Sedlack, 59, of Rockdale were held Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Friendship Cemetery, near Davilla with Greg Spears of Rockdale Cowboy Church officiating.

Mr. Sedlack died Saturday, March 19, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

He was born Dec. 17, 1951, in Mobile, Alabama, to Fred John Sedlack and Loretta (Lay) Sedlack.

Mr. Sedlack was a Rockdale resident for the past 12 years and was formerly of Silver Hill, Alabama.

He worked as a truck driver for 30 years and was a member of Rockdale Cowboy Church.

Mr. Sedlack was a veteran of the U.S. Army and enjoyed playing his guitar, singing and cooking, especially barbecue cookoffs and fund-raisers.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his closest companion, Kathrine Martinez of Rockdale; three sons, Michael Alton Sedlack and wife Alexis and Brian Alfred Sedlack, all of Fairford, Alabama, Joshua Daniel Sedlack of Tomball; two daughters, Rachel Leann Johnston and husband M. J. of Fairford, Alabama, Heidi Nicole Sedlack Price-Williams of Rockdale; and three brothers, James Sedlack and wife Donna and Ken Sedlack and wife Carol, all of Silver Hill, Alabama, R.E. Sedlack of Hitchcock; also, seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Michael Sedlack, Joshua Sedlack, Brian Sedlack, Robie Lawhon, Donnie Martinez and John Lawhon.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
