Charges filed Monday from previous drug raid

Two Rockdale residents were arrested Monday in connection with a drug raid several months ago by the Milam County Sheriff’s Department, assisted by Rockdale police.

Kenneth Ray Johnson and Dawania Antoinette Mitchell, both 34, were each charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance (4 to 200 grams).

They are being held without bond.

“A search warrant was served and substances believed to be drugs were found,” Police Chief Thomas Harris said. “It’s a sheriff’s department case.”

SEX ASSAULT—The sheriff’ department was called to investigate a sexual assault of a child at 6:30 p.m. Saturday on County Road Loop 203 near Cameron.
