Gause ISD sets art exhibit Thursday
GAUSE–The second annual Gause Art Exhibition will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 31 in the Gause ISD Library, Mary Neely, the district’s art teacher said.
The exhibition features young artist from the school. There will be many types of artwork exhibited including paintings, drawings and sculpture. There will be a silent auction to purchase items donated by the community, and any cash donation will be appreciated. Refreshments will be served by the Gause Parents Club. The exhibition and refreshments are free to the public.
“Art enriches every aspect of life. It increases confidence, and it helps students in all subject areas,” Neely said.
Project grad meeting Monday at RHS
Rockdale High School’s Project Graduation group will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, April 5 inthe high school cafeteria, spokesperson Jamie Streck said.
The group will discuss recent fundraisers and finalize plans for Project Graduation.
Rockdale JH starts recycling program
Rockdale Junior High students have began the “Recycle for Generations” program at the school, according to teacher Rebecca Geletka.
They are accepting empty inkjet cartridges, laser cartridges and old cell phones from home, work or school. Items may be dropped off for recycling at the RJH office.
