MCJLS auction raises 200,238
Sale tops ‘10 total by more than $36,000
CAMERON—The 2011 Milam County Junior Livestock Show raised $200,238.25 for area 4-H and FFA youths during the annual event in the Youth Exposition Building.
That’s over $36,000 more than the $163,442 raised in 2010.
An additional $25,305 was raised in a special lot for Tandy Sizemore of the Thorndale 4- H, bringing the grand total to $225,543.25.

Long hor n show this weekend at Fair Park

RFA commercial heifer tag-in Wednesday
The tag-in date for the 2011 Rockdale Fair Commercial Heifer Show is scheduled for 5- 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 6 at the Arledge Feed Lot Pens on US 79 West of Rockdale, co-chairman Birdie Kristoff announced. All Milam Count y 4- H and FFA members wishing to participate in this show are required to tagin their heifers on this date. Full Story

CAMERON–The El Camino Real Chapter of Master Naturalists is sponsoring a Nature Photo Contest. It will be held in conjunction with Milam County Nature Festival at Wilson-Ledbetter Park in Cameron on April 9, spokesperson Paula Engelhardt announced. Full Story
