La Grange 17, Rockdale 2
It’s pretty hard to win any game when you’re down 13- 0 before you’ve even swung the bat,
That’s exactly what happened to RHS on Friday as the Leopards put 13 runs on the scoreboard in the top of the first and coasted to a 17-2 win.
“We beat ourselves,” Richards said. “ Twelve of those 13 firstinning runs were unearned.”
Rockdale ended the game with five errors.
Dillan Schnerr had a pair of hits for the Tigers while Duke Schneider, Cody Skubal and Ethan Brinkley added singles.
“One positive is that we have been hitting the ball a little better,” Richards said. “We aren’t striking out nearly as much.”
