Williams

Services for Marshall Glen Williams, 57, of Houston were held Sunday, April 3, 2011, in Phillips & Luckey Chapel in Rockdale. Burial was in the Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Buckholts with Pastor Richard Ruzicka officiating.

Mr. Williams died Wednesday, March 30, in Lyndon B. Johnson Memorial Hospital in Houston.

He was born Sept. 13, 1953, in Houston to Charles Truman and Vera Oneta (Morgan) Williams.

A lifelong Houston resident, Mr. Williams owned and operated Tree Surgeons of Texas for 17 years.

He enjoyed being outdoors and watching sports, especially Astro’s baseball, and spending time with his dogs.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Miriam Carolyn Rivers and Truman Elaine Driggers.

Survivors are his mother, Vera Oneta Morgan Williams of Rockdale; three brothers, Charles Williams and wife Linda of New Caney, Bobby Williams and wife Ruby Carol of Mont gomer y, Teddy Williams and wife Marta of Conroe; and six sisters, Virgie Franklin of Georgetown, Linda Brandon and husband Glenn of Matagorda, Pearline Teeny Johnson and husband Billie of Ballinger, Evelyn Brandon and husband Larry of Magnolia, Renee Williams of Houston, Angela Covey and husband John of Granbury.

Pallbearers were Samuel Williams, Charles Ray Williams, Michael Williams, Bobby Williams, II Douglas Brandon, Gordon Franklin and John Franklin.

Honorary pallbearers were Jim Franklin, LeRoy Johnson and John Covey.
