Deputies check out burn ban violation reports

Even though much of Texas reported fires last week, and all of it is under a severe drouth, there were still a couple of burn ban violation reports during the past week in the Rockdale area.

Deputy James Woodward was called to a reported burn ban violation at 2:40 p.m. April 5 off Sierra Drive in the Praesel Addition.

Deputy Larry Morgan was called to investigate a burn ban violation report at 1:55 p.m. Saturday on Oak Lawn Drive.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
