‘Old’ City Hall, Kay Theater honored

Jobless numbers in slight decline
Milam only county in area still in double-digits
Unemployment numbers show Milam County down slightly for the month at 10.4 percent for March 2011, according to reports released Thursday by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
Jobless numbers declined just slightly compared to numbers from a year ago where there was a 10.5 percent of county residents unemployed in March 2010. Full Story
Thorndale Chamber to host ‘Meet the Candidates’
Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) will host a “Meet the Candidate” meeting for Thorndale ISD school board candidates at 7 p.m. Monday, May 2 at the TACC building in downtown Thorndale.
