‘Team Tammy’ bake sale Saturday

Members of the “Team Tammy” Relay For Life team will hold a bake sale from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 23 at the Milano Cefco. The team is also planning a garage sale on Saturday, April 30 in front of Smokin’ Oak BBQ on US 79. Donations are now being taken. The Milano Jamboree is Saturday at the Milano Civic Center. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the house band playing and the kitchen open to serve snacks. The Jamboree is held on the fourth Saturday of each month.

Friendship Baptist Church choir will perform their Easter cantata “You Are My Victory” at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 24. The public is inv ited. The church is located seven miles south of Milano on TX 36.

Milano VFD Ladies Auxiliary will have their annual garage sale April 26-30 at the Milano Civic Center. Doors open each day at 8 a.m.

Morning Star Ranch will host an American Competitive Trail Ride on April 30 and May 1. Funds raised will be used to help the Hospitality House at the ranch. For more information, call 512- 455-2552.

The Milano Elementary Pre-K and Kindergarten round up is set for 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 6 at the school. Call 512-455-2062 for more information.

The second annual Kristi’s Krusaders “Rally for the Walk...Walk MS 2011” is scheduled for Saturday, June 25 at Nat’s in Milano. The fund-raising event will include a motorcycle ride, bike show, door prizes, live and silent auction and a dance with music by The Earlywine Band. Registration for the ride begins at 8 a.m. with the first bike out at 10 a.m.

On Thursday, the Milano High School One-Act Play performed their show “ The History of Tom Jones.” Our school has so much talent and the students and directors worked long and hard. Congratulations to all. The performance was great.
