Blue closes out season Thursday at home
The Rockdale Tigers couldn’t make a three-run first inning hold up as Caldwell rallied for a 7-5 victory Tuesday night at Hornet Field.
The Tigers fall to 6-19 overall and 2-7 in District 23-3A.
The Hornets kept their playoff hopes alive and stand 15-10 on the season and 5-4 in district play, tied for third with Smithville. Full Story

Cameron Yoe quarterback Jack Rhoades and Lexington linebacker Chance Sherrill, each helped lead their teams to respective state title games in 2010, have been selected for the Texas High School Coaches Association All- Star Football Game. Full Story

Lady Dogs miss out on playoffs
Thorndale ends season with victory over Lago Vista
The Thor ndale Lady Dogs ended their season with an exciting 3-2 win over Lago Vista on Tuesday night. The team finishes 13-13 on the year and 8- 6 in 27AA play.

Eagles clinch first ever spot in playoffs
Milano picked up District 27A wins at Bartlett and Georgetown Gateway over the week, securing the school’s first ever playoff appearance for its baseball team.
The school has had a baseball program since 1994.
The Eagles (11-3, 7-1) are currently sitting in second place with two games remaining. Full Story
Thorndale baseball hopes fading fast
Bulldogs need to win out to have a chance
After reaching the state baseball tournament in five of the last six years, the Thorndale Bulldogs are going to needd some help to get back.
Standing at 6-6 in district play, the Bulldogs (16-8) need to win out and Lexington in turn would have to lose out for them to sneak in the playoff bracket. Full Story
Milano girls are post-season bound
After a couple of setbacks late in district play, the Milano Lady Eagles (8-14-1, 6-4) finally hammered down their playoff destiny and will go into the Class A state softball playoffs as the third place team from District 27A.
The team defeated Bartlett on the road Tuesday night 5-3 in eight innings to finish out league play, stopping a three game losing skid for the Lady Eagles. Full Story
