Sheriff, DPS busy with drug calls

The Milam County Sheriff’s Department and Department of Public Safety were busy with drug-related calls during the weekend.

A total of 56 drug and alcohol calls were listed over the weekend, the second for the county to host Insomniac’s Nocturnal Fest at Apache Pass.

Bonds on drug offenses ranged from $ 1,500 to 100,000. A ll names are listed in the jail log on this page.

The department also answered 11 loud music calls in connection with Nocturnal Fest.

Calls came from CRs 428, 329, 215, 302, 458, 455, 440 and 342, US 190, Northwood Circle, the Rockdale Airport and Whippoorwill Drive.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
