Early voting continues for May 14th elections

Early voting is under way for the May 14 city and school elections in Rockdale with 76 votes cast Monday and Tuesday.

There were 36 votes cast in the city elections and 40 for the Rockdale ISD board of trustees.

Both city and school early voting is at City Hall.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. except for Wednesday and Thursay when hours will be extended to 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Final day to request a ballot by mail is Friday.

Early voting ends Tuesday.

CA NDIDATES—There are two contested city races and one for the school board.

Melody Dawson and Steve Pruett are candidates for the east ward council seat being vacated by Gerri Offield.

West ward incumbent Doug Calame is challenged by Gary Darby.

On the school board ballot, Kent Bowermon is opposed by Henry Miller for Place 7.

Lin Perry is unopposed for Place 6.

MILANO—Early voting hours in the Milano ISD election are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the administration building on the elementary campus.

THORNDALE—Early voting in the Thorndale ISD election is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the TISD administration building.

Extended hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday (May 4) and Tuesday.
