A fund raising barbecue to help pay funeral expenses for one of three young boys killed one year ago in a vehicle train collision is set for Saturday in front of City Hall.
AhKeem Williams, 8, died May 24, 2010 at a private rail crossing east of Rockdale in a collision that also took the lives of 9-yearold Monterious Hancox and 4-year-old Ki’ade Hancox.
Their driver, Terrilyn Williams, survived the wreck, sustaining broken bones and a blood clot.
Deborah Crawford, family spokesperson, said an outstanding balance is still owed on the funeral which was held June 5, 2010 at the KC Hall with more than 1,000 persons attending.
Serving on Saturday begins at 11 a.m. and continues until sold out.
