Konarik Konarik ST. PETERSBURG, FL—Randall J. “Randy” Konarik, 43, died on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011, in Bayfront Medic al Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was severely injured in an auto/bicycle accident on April 5, 2011 near Clearwater, Florida, and never regained consciousness before succumbing to his injuries.

A funeral mass with burial in Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Ganado will be held at a later date.

Mr. Konarik was a 1986 graduate of Rockdale High School.

He had at tended elementary school in his hometown of Ganado.

Mr. Konarik joined the U. S. Marines shortly after graduation from high school. During his five year enlistment, he served at Camp Pendleton, California, Millington Naval Air Station, Tennessee and overseas in Okinawa, Japan.

He was an auto body repairman and painter.

Mr. Konarik’s life-long hobby was photography; his favorite subjects were classic and exotic cars and wildlife.

He had worked in the Clearwater area for the last 15 years.

Mr, Konarik was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Konarik of Ganado.

Survivor are three brothers, Phillip and wife Debra of Rockdale, Mike and wife Laverne of Ganado, David of Brazoria; and two sisters, Ann Damborsky and husband Glenn of Edna, Joan Bubar of Clearwater, Florida; also, numerous nieces and nephews.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
