Phillips

THOR NDA LE— Sandra Jo Phillips, 50, of Thorndale, died Monday, April 25, 2011.

She was born to Everett and Madeline (Drake) Emery on Valentine’s Day 1961 in Ithaca, New York.

Mrs. Phillips graduated from Brooktondale Christian School in New York and Tompkins-Cortland Community College with a degree in nursing.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

She married Michael Allan Phillips on May 29, 1982, at Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Mrs. Phillips was a nurse, always striving to learn new procedures and the newest research.

In 2006, following her husband’s retirement from the Ithaca Police department, they achieved a long held dream of moving to Texas and settled in a small home in the country.

She recently achieved another lifetime goal of having horses and a donkey which she adored.

In her spare time she enjoyed reading Christian romance novels and spoiling her cat, Pooh Bear.

Survivors are her husband, Michael; her daughter and friend, Rachel and her husband, Joey; her sister, Mary; her brothers, Timothy and James; her mother in-law, Bridget; sisters-inlaw, Sally and Jacqueline; and a brother-in-law, Robert; also, a host of nephews and nieces and her church families at Faith Baptist Church, Dryden Baptist Church, (New York), Glenn Baptist Church, (New York) and Tabernacle Baptist (New York).
