Benefit for former Rockdale athlete Johnson on Saturday
A benefit will be held Saturday, May 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Thorndale Fireman’s Hall to raise funds for Joseph Johnson, 22, who has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Stage II.

It has been a successful year for Milano athletics, reaching the post-season in football, volleyball, boys and girls basketball, softball and now baseball. Milano’s Garza, Sanders headed to state meet
SAN ANTONIO– Milano’s Brandon Garza and Thomas Sanders are heading to the state track meet in Class A after finishing in the top two of the Region IV meet held at Converse Judson ISD Stadium.
Garza won the boys pole vault with jump of 13-feet. The junior out distanced his nearest competitor by six inches. He will compete at the state meet Saturday, May 14 at 9 a.m. Full Story
