REMEMBERING AH-KEEM—

A benefit barbecue to help pay funeral expenses for eight-year-old AhKeem Williams raised $2,085 Saturday in the City Hall parking lot. From left, Deborah Crawford, Zina Juarez, Terri Williams, Jaconia Williams and Jasia Rubin fix a plate for Shane Kolar. AhKeem was one of three young boys killed in a May 24, 2010, vehicle-train collision. “This will pay about three-fourths of what’s still owed on the funeral,” Crawford said. “We sold out in two hours and people still came by and made donations.”
