Sanders will compete in the Class A boys long jump at noon. He qualified in the event after finishing second at the Region IV track meet with a person best jump of 21 feet 8.75 inches.
He missed out at state in 2010 in the triple jump where he was third by just three and a half inches.

The last Milano boy to earn a medal at the state meet is believed to be Corey Watkins in 1996 in the Class A 400 meters.
