Burglary leads to obstruction arrests of teens
A burglary report in the Sherwood Forest mobile home park on Friday led to the arrest of three Rockdale teens, one for the breakin and two for obstructing police in making the arrest.
Lt. J. D. Newlin said Ofc. Adam Assaker responded to the initial call and arrested a 14-year-old male juvenile who was taken to the Rockdale Juvenile Justice Center. Full Story
Two nabbed in Thorndale burglaries
An investigation by the Milam County Sheriff’s Department has led to burglary charges in connection with a series of Thorndale area burglaries.
Heather Hardin-Barnett, 29, Thorndale, was charged with three counts of burglary of a habitation, possession of drug paraphernalia and an out- ofcounty warrant for forgery of a financial instrument. Full Story

Guilty verdict returned in sexual assault of child
CAMERON—A 20th District Court jur y returned a guilty verdict last Wednesday in the sexual assault trial of a 32- yea r- old Rockdale man.
Chad Joseph Browne was convicted of one count of aggrav ated sexual assault of a trial and one count of indecency with a child. Full Story

Two of the classic scam approaches have apparently combined and are present in Milam County.
