County 4-H joins in helping Joplin tornado victims
Cheryl Walker

The 4-H promotes community service and the tornado victims in Joplin need help. One of our 4-Hers, Emily McCoy has a cousin who lives right outside of Joplin and she is asking the Milam County area to help.

Some of the major items needed are: Tarps, baby diapers, baby formula, wipes, batteries, flashlights, manual can openers, non perishable food items, and water.

Also, plastic storage containers are needed. As the people in Joplin salvage items they need storage containers for the items.

Donations can also be dropped off at the Milam County Extension Office by June 6 or at the New Salem Club building on June 7 from 9 to 11 a.m.

Emily McCoy and William Dean are working to coordinate this project.

All 4-H families and other individuals that would like to make donations can contact the Milam County Extension Office (100 E. 1st Street in Cameron, 254-697-7045) or the McCoy’s at Yvette@gap. tamu.edu or Dean’s at sdean. rockdale@yahoo.com.

Anyone can donate to this project. Let’s show Joplin that we care. Beginners Fun Day June 11
