Beginners Fun Day set June 11
On Saturday, June 11 area youngsters ages 5 to 8 are invited to a “Beginners Fun Day Workshop” at the Gause School. This program will be sponsored by the Milam County 4-H, with 4-H members from the various clubs across the county presenting fun and informative workshops for the youngsters. All youngsters from across the county are encouraged to attend and find out what 4-H is all about.
Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., with activities beginning at 10 and things will wind down around 1 p.m.. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Parents are welcome to stay and join their youngsters in the activities. This activity is free and we hope that you and your youngsters will be a part of it. Descendents of the late Ora and Roger Todd held their family reunion Saturday, May 28 in the Gause Baptist Church Family Life Center. Approximately 70 family and friends attended. After a time of fellowship, visiting and a covered dish lunch. Some family members went to the country home of Mary Nell and Travis Neely here in Gause where some went fishing and others visited some more.
On Thursday, the Gause Junior High eighth grade graduation was held in the school gym. There were 20 graduating this year.
Class valedictorian was Myka Morehead and salutatorian was Derek Walton. Guest speaker was Brennan Peel. After the program there was a class video presentation enjoyed by all. Good luck graduates in your high school and future. Following the program those in attendance were invited to joined the eighth grade class for refreshments.
On Friday morning Awards Day was held in the gym for all students, Pre-K through eighth grade.
Kim Lee and Kendall spent the holiday weekend in Temple with relatives.
