RHS Class of 1976
The RHS Class of 1976 will hold its 35th-year class reunion on Sat urday, June 11. Some details have changed so classmates are asked to read their email messages, Facebook messages and check their invitation about times and places. Inv itations were mailed last week. Big Blue Band reunion
The second annual Big Blue Band reunion will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 11 at the Patterson Civic Center in Rockdale.
The first reunion last year drew an estimated 450 people, was termed a major success, and planning for the 2011 event began the next day.
Former band directors Bill Grusendorf, Don Thoede and Jim Perry, who guided the RHS band program during its “golden era” which produced consistent UIL Sweepstakes awards and 120-member bands, will attend. Perry is one of the main organizers.
He said donations w ill be accepted to cover the $425 cost of renting the civic center. A concession stand will be open, staffed by the Matinee Musical Club.
RHS Class of 1941
Members of the RHS Class of 1941 will hold their 70th reunion at the Busy Bee Restaurant June 11-12, according to Natha Lee House of Irving, publicist.
Saturday: 1:30 p.m., visiting and snacks; 7 p.m., dinner.
Sunday: 8: 30 a. m., breakfast, following by attendance at homecoming.
RHS Class of 1951
Graduates of the RHS Class of 1951 w ill hold their 60thyear reunion Saturday, June 11 at Peace Lutheran Church fellowship hall on Meadow Drive. Hours will be from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., according to Peggy Dreher Hosek, spokesperson.
“Lunch will be served at noon and provided by members of t he reunion commit tee who did a good job getting things together,” Hosek said.
Visitors are invited to attend the reunion from 1 to 2 p.m.
“The annual Rockdale homecoming will be held the next day, Sunday, June 12 at the Patterson Civic Center, and this is always a great get-together,” Hosek said.

RHS Class of 1986
The RHS class of 1986 will hold its 25th-year reunion on Friday, July 22 at the Ranch and Saturday, July 23 at Rockdale Country Club. The class invites the classes of 1985 and 1987 to join them for the Friday night event.

47th Appelt reunion
HALLETTSVILLE— The 47th Appelt family reunion is scheduled for Sunday, June 5 at Appelt’s Hill Hall in Hallettsville.
Lunch will be served at noon. Meat, drinks, and paper goods w ill be furnished. Attendees are asked to bring a side dish or dessert, an item for a prizedrawing, photos and information to update their “ limb” on the family tree.

72nd Lagrone reunion
MILANO—The 72nd annual LaGrone family reunion is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, June 17-19 at the residence of Norine LaGrone.
Live music and a variety of food and games are on the schedule for one of the longest running family reunions in the state.
Friday is worker’s night with dinner to be served for those who help set up, while Saturday’s ice cream social will include hamburgers and hot dogs.
Saturday night will include the 7th annual LaGrone Muster.
The main reunion will begin with lunch at noon on Sunday with barbecue brisket, chicken, sausage and many side dishes and desserts including home made ice cream.
Basketball, volleyball, softball, horseshoes and dominoes will be played. “Come and spend Father’s Day weekend with the kinfolks,” Bill Martin, publicist, said.
Buckholts school reunion
BUCK HOLTS —The a nnua l Buckholts School reunion and homecoming will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, June 4 in the Buckholts SPJST hall.
“ This is for ever yone who would like to enjoy a day of fun and relaxation,” said E. J. Provasek, spokesman.
He said a barbecue lunch will be served 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at $8 per plate.
