PTO scholarships due

The 2011 Rockdale PTO Scholarship applications are now available in the Rockdale High School office.

“The applications need to be picked up, filled out and returned to us by Wednesday, June 15,” according to Sarah Vreeland, PTO secretary/treasurer.

Lillard earns masters

BEAUMONT–Lindsey Lillard of Rockdale recently graduated from Lamar University with a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership Education. She is currently a second grade teacher at Rockdale Elementary School.

Lillard resides in Rockdale with husband Noah and sons Mason and Kade.

Her parents are Lonnie and Rita Juergens, also of Rockdale.

Juergens gets UT degree

AUSTIN–Seth Juergens graduated May 20 from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.

He recently received an internship at the State Capital to work in the office of the Speaker of the House.

Juergens is the son of Lonnie and Rita Juergens of Rockdale.

Heine graduates from Brenham HS

BRENHAM–On Saturday, May 28, Elise Heine graduated from Brenham High School. She plans to attend Blinn College and then transfer to Texas A&M and major in animal science.

She is the daugther of Shannon and Stewart Bates and Darren and Dayna Heine all of Brenham. She is the granddaughter of Durwood and Darleen Tucker and Donny and Virginia Heine of Thorndale.

She is the great-granddaughter of Ruby Achtruth of Thorndale. She is also the great-granddaughter of the late Richard and Zanie Heine of Thorndale, Buster and Daisy Tucker of Thorndale and Grady and Louise Cumbie of Rockdale.
