Senior power hitter ends career on high note
Bouncing back from an off-year with abandon, Rockdale’s Dillan Schnerr was named to the first team of the District 23-3A alldistrict baseball squad.
Schnerr was the lone Tiger to make the team, although Cody Skubal was named to the allacademic section.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound first baseman hit .442 at the plate, while smacking four home runs and driving in 27 runs. Full Story

Tigers qualify for 7-on-7 state tournament
Summer squad earns last chance by finishing second at Navasota
NAVASOTA—Talk about waiting until the last possible moment.
In the last tournament of the summer, in the last game of the tournament, the Rockdale 7-on-7 team finally qualified for the state tournament by clipping Cameron 40-27 at Rattler Field.
The Tigers had no other tournaments on the schedule this summer, so this was absolutely their last chance. Full Story

Finalists in football, Yoemen try to make amends in hardball
BRENHAM—The Cameron Yoemen continue to enjoy their stay in Class 2A, this time earning their first trip to the UIL state baseball tournament.
