COLLEGE STATION—Eleven Milam County 4-H students competed at the State 4-H Roundup Activities at Texas A&M University June 13 - 16.
The week started off with the presentation of 2 million dollars in scholarships to 200 4-Hers across the state of Texas.

A rea landowners have input of resources
Local land owners in each county will have the opportunity to produce input concerning what the real natural resource needs are in the community.
At the Cameron Chamber of Commerce (102 E. First Street) on July 6 at 10 a.m., the Natural Resources Conservation Service will conduct a meeting for area landowners. Full Story
AUSTIN—The Texas Animal Health Commission ( TA HC) has announced that effective August 1, 2011, government subsidized Brucellosis testing at all Texas livestock markets will be discontinued, due to a lack of funding available to pay for future testing. Full Story
