Attorneys want to be judge
Two Cameron attorneys have become the first two candidates to replace retiring 20th District Judge Ed Magre.
John Youngblood and Norman Lanford have submitted their applications to Gov. Rick Perry, who will make the appointment.
Youngblood is a Republican and Lanford a Democrat.
According to the governor’s office, there is no designated deadline to apply. Full Story
Physician assistant objects to school nurse situation
A local physician assistant appeared before school trustees Monday and objected to the Rockdale ISD’s plans to replace a school nursing position with an athletic trainer.

A softball tourney unreels Friday through Sunday.
