Cauthen

CAMERON—Funeral services for Emma Lois Cauthen, 95, of Temple, formerly of Cameron, were held Friday, June 17, 2011, in the chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home with Rev.Bobby Glenn officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Cauthen died Wednesday, June 15, in a Temple nursing home following an extended illness.

She was born Oct. 12, 1915, in Milam County to Walter W. and Nora Allen Powell.

Mrs. Cauthen was a retired school teacher. She had taught school in Maysfield, South Elm, Buckholts and Elm Ridge.

She was a 1932 graduate of C.H. Yoe High School and a 1936 graduate of University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Mrs. Cauthen was a longtime member of Cameron Gospel Tabernacle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Cauthen, in 2002 and two sisters, Faye Glass and Edith Odom.

Mrs. Cauthen is survived by a sister, Fannie Mae Odom of Fort Worth.
