‘Indecency’ arrest at apartments

A 64- yea r- old Br ya n ma n remains in the county jail in lieu of $200,000 bond after he was arrested on two counts of indecency with a child.

According to police, Vernon Lester Higgins, identified as an insurance salesman and collector, was arrested last Wednesday in the parking lot of the Williams Trace Apartments in Cameron.

Police said the charge was in connection with incidents involving two girls younger than 10.
