Resource conservation meeting July 6

Local land owners will have the opportuity to produce input concerning what the real natural resource needs are in the community.

A local work group meeting for conservative programs will hold a meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6 at the Cameron Chamber of Commerce, sponsored by the Natural Resources Conservation Service.

The Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) program accelerates the conservation, development and utilization of natural resources, improve the general level of economic activity and to enhance the environment and standard of living in designated RC&D areas.

It improves the capability of State, tribal and local units of government and local nonprofit organizations in rural areas to plan, develop and carry out programs for resource conservation and development.

The program also establishes or improves coordination systems in rural areas.
