June building permits over $300,000; highest in 2011
Fiscal year totals over $1 million
After having the lowest total of the year in May, city building permits for June are at $336,137.98, the highest for both calendar and fiscal year 2011.
City building permits totaled totaled just $12,011 for the month of May.
The month’s permits were sparked by a $262,000 air conditioning remodel at the 75-yearold Rockdale Elementary School gymnasium. Full Story

Saying goodbye after 11 years on the job
July 4 has come and gone. But though the date has passed, the significance has not. We are a free country—the best country in the world.
