Star to play senior year at Port Lavaca Calhoun

Daniel Brooks will not return to Rockdale for his senior year.Daniel Brooks will not return to Rockdale for his senior year.  Daniel Brooks confirmed Thursday what had already been reported that he will not return to play football for Rockdale High School in 2011.
  After participating with the Rockdale team in the 7-on-7 State Tournament in College Station on Thursday, Brooks informed Tiger Coach Jeff Miller of hisis decisionis family’s decision after Miller had heard it from a website writer.
   Brooks’ father Tony took a job at the Point Comfort Alcoa site and Brooks will attend Port Lavaca Calhoun.
   Brooks leaves with the third highest rushing total in RHS hstory and the second most tiouchdowns.
   He needed just over 1,000 yards to break Don Wesley’s 34-year old mark and just five touchdowns to break Blade Bassler’s scoring mark
