SHERIFF’S REPORT

Teen hurt in tractor accident

A 15-year-old Buckholts teen received serious injuries in an incident involving a tractor Saturday afternoon in the Rogers area just north of the Milam County line.

Omar Castro was airlifted to Scott & White Hospital, Temple, and was listed in stable condition.

Bell County Investigators said he was a passenger on a tractor driven by Fidel Carillo on Rogers Cemetery road when he either lost his balance or became caught up in the rear tire and slipped below the tractor with his stomach and leg being run over by the large tire.

Investigators said the pair were heading to get water to fill a barrel.
