Dates for some annual fall events in Milano have been announced. The City of Milano will sponsor it’s “Fall Fest” in downtown on Saturday, Oct. 1 with food booths, tractor pulls, car show and much more. More details on this in the coming weeks.

With Milano’s high school football schedule out, it has been announced that the homecoming football game will be Friday, Oct. 28 against Snook. That makes Saturday, Oct. 29 the date for the annual Milano Exes Reunion. The event will include a catered meal and lots of visiting. Don’t forget to get your tickets for Milam Community Theater’s summer musical “Camelot” at the Yoe High School Performing Arts Center in Cameron on July 30-31 and Aug. 6-7. Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday performances at 2 p.m.

Milano ISD’s “Meet the Teacher” night is set for Wednesday, Aug. 17 form 6-6:45 p.m.. Then at 7 p.m., everyone will head to the Milano High School gym for the annual “Meet the Eagles” and cake auction for the athletic program. Thanks to everyone that came out and showed their support for the youth at Milano First Baptist Church and their church camp trip at Friday’s barbecue fund-raiser.

Had a great attendance at the Milano Opry on Saturday night. The August Opry will be held Aug. 20 back at the Milano High School cafetorium.

Happy belated 70th birthday to my sister Wanda Lee on July 18.

The small amount of rain we received on Monday was so nice. Grandchildren Hannah and Bradley and I enjoyed watching it from the front porch. Keep praying each day for rain. The Lord will provide.
