Saying ‘bye’

It was a packed house at the Rockdale Workforce Center Tuesday afternoon as the local business community gathered to say “good-bye” to Denice Doss. She is leaving her position as president of the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce on July 31 after 11 years on the job. Doss, who was previously director of community education in the Rockdale ISD, is returning to the school district to oversee its 21st Century Learning Program. At lower left is Rev. Rick Hertless, pastor of Meadowbrook Baptist Church and Doss’s brother.
