Open house...

It wasn’t a formal event but things don’t get much more open than THIS over the last week in the 75-year- old elementary gym, which is being air conditioned for the first time. The gym’s windows are being replaced with “glass bricks” in keeping with the structure’s 1930’s architecture. Alfredo Leon (L) and Joseph Sykes were among the craftsmen installing the “bricks,” while Ahh Nguyen works at the ceiling in the background. Project completion is promised before classes start Aug. 22.
