Crossno to perform on Scotland stage

Former Rockdale resident Chase Crossno, who began acting while attending RHS, will be hitting the stage far from home this month. She has been hired by Palindrome Theatre Company to play Thea Elvsted in an original production of Henrick Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland.

Crossno departed from Austin on Aug. 1 and then arrived in Scotland on Aug. 2. The acting company had two days to “tech” the show and then will perform it each day for 22 consecutive days.

“The nature of the festival is such that you share venues with various companies from around the world,” Crossno said. “This means we’ll be arriving at the theatre daily to build our set, perform, then break it down–every day.”

Crossno is the daughter of former Rockdale residents Dr. Ronald and Carla Crossno.
