Final county budget proposed
Commissioners Court has met several times to make the necessary decisions to get the 2012 budget in balance and to discuss and communicate decisions to all the department heads and elected officials.
All these sessions were held in open meeting settings. The proposed final budget is on display at the County Clerk’s office, and is posted on the website at www.milamcounty.net. Full Story

STPA = San Antonio, food, fun & friends
We just spent the weekend in San Antonio at the South Texas Press Association board meeting.
Bill and I stayed at the St. Anthony Hotel, great location, within walking distance to the Riverwalk, Alamo, etc. That’s where we will hold our 2012 STPA Convention in April. Full Story
