Burn ban violations reported

The Milam County Sheriff’s Depar tment continues to be called to possible burn ban violations with four reported during the past week.

Two calls were to the Thorndale area, both on Thursday.

Those called deputies to CR 458 at 5:45 p.m. and again at 7:08 p.m.

A burn ban violation was reported at 6: 24 p.m. Friday on County Road 112 near Buckholts.

Deputies were called to another reported violation at 10:17 a.m. Monday on FM 979 near Cameron.

Aug. 9—Unsecured door, FM 3242, Milano area; welfare concern, Cameron area; road hazard, FM 2095, Gause; information, CR 227, Cameron area; disabled vehicle, US 77, Rockdale area; trespassers, CR 440, Thorndale area; assist another agency, CR 314, Rockdale area.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
