$17.3-million budget filed with county clerk
CAMERON—Milam County Judge Dave Barkemeyer has filed a proposed $17.3-million budget for 2012 with the county clerk’s office.
The budget is compiled based on a 60-cent tax rate, same as the current rate.
The budget is available on-line at www.milamcounty.net.

Trustees okay freeze for salary schedule, voting machine buy
Rockdale ISD trustees, meeting Monday in special session in the Central Administration Building, followed through on an austerity measure discussed this spring and suspended the teacher salary schedule and merit pay plans.
