Susan G. Komen grant writing workshop set for August 31st
The Central Texas affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is proud to announce the availability of grant funds for fiscal year 2012. Applications are now being accepted.
Breast cancer and breast health programs of nonprofit organizat ions, gover nmental agencies and educational institutions in Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Falls, McLennan, and Milam counties are eligible to apply for grant funds from the Komen Central Texas affiliate.
There will be a grant writing workshop held from 10 a.m. until 12-noon Wednesday, Aug. 31, at the Central Texas affiliate office, located at 100 Texas Ranger Trail, Waco, TX 76706,

The Central Texas affiliate of Komen for the Cure is working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in the local community. They join more than 100,000 breast cancer survivors and activists around the globe as part of the world’s largest and most progressive grassroots network fighting breast cancer.
Through events like the Komen Central Texas R ace for the Cure, the Komen Central Texas affiliate has invested over $1.9 million in local breast health and breast cancer awareness projects in Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Falls, McLennan, and Milam counties.
Up to 75 percent of net proceeds generated by the affiliate stays in the Central Texas area.
