Burn ban reports still coming in to sheriff

The Milam County Sheriff’s Department continues to receive reports of burn ban violations, even with temperatures climbing into the 110-degree range.

Deputy Sheriff Paul Benton was dispatched to County Road 210 near Buckholts to investigate a suspected burn ban violation at 4:41 p.m. Monday, a day in which Rockdale’s high was 109 degrees.
