Building permits up for month at $74,277

Amounts were also up compared to the same time last year where $73,300 in permits were issued in August 2010.

June total of $ 336,137.98, was the highest month for both calendar and fiscal year 2011 thus far.

The August amount brings the total for the 2011 calendar year to $827,323.19.

Building permits are issued at City Hall and reflect only construction in the city limits.

That brings the total for the fiscal year 2011, which began in October 2010 to $1,218,841.19.

Permits issued during the last month were as follows:

Hal McKinney, 627 N. Main, garage; LeeAnna Applegate for Kay Theatre Foundation, 350 N. Main, remodel phase 2; Davis Roofing for Church of Latter Day Saints, 310 Calhoun, reroof; Charlie McGregor, 604 Jackson, deck.

George Malone for James Summers, 717 Hunter, metal roof; Butch Malone, for Tammy Engelke, 1901 Mistletoe, repair patio roof; Modified Access Construction; Calvin Key, 1116 E. Cameron Ave., portable carport.
