60th Ford reunion held Sunday at Milano

MILANO—The families of Charlie Franklin and John Wesley Ford held their 60th reunion Sunday, Sept. 4 at the Community Center in Milano.

Of the 23 in attendance, 16 were direct descendants. Attendees visited and enjoyed sharing photos from the past. Door prizes were drawn with everyone receiving a gift.

There were six “Guess the Candy” jars and winners were Rebecca Whittley, Betty Boyd, Jan Campbell, Nancy Willis, Mark Albright and Kay Popilka.

Rex Boyd gave the luncheon invocation. Closing prayer was offered by Rev. Jan Campbell. Attendees voted to meet again next year at the same place.

MHS class of 2001 reunion Saturday

MILANO—The Milano High School Class of 2001 will hold its 10th-year reunion Saturday, Sept. 10, according to Kerry Brown-Silvey.

The reunion will start at 11 a.m. at Apache Pass, 9112 N FM 908, north of Rockdale and continue throughout the day.

“We will eat and mingle,” Brown-Silvey said. “Bring your own beverages, no glass please. There might possibly be a water slide for the kids during the day.”

RHS Class of ‘66 planning reunion

The Rockdale High School Class of 1966 is planning its 45th- year reunion on Saturday, Oct. 15 at The Ranch, 415 W. US 79 in Rockdale. The group will visit from 3 to 5 p.m. and return for dinner, visiting and live music at 7 p.m.

Rockdale will play Smithville on Friday, Oct. 14 in football. Classmates may gather at Apache Pass beginning at 8 p.m. and continue for after-game visiting.

A Sunday brunch is being considered. Contact those listed below to let them know if are interested in the activity.

Milano Exes Reunion set Saturday, Oct. 29

MILANO—The Milano Eagles will host the Snook Bluejays on Friday, Oct. 28 for the MHS homecoming football game.

The Milano Exes’ Reunion will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29 in the MHS cafetorium. Doors will open at 10 a.m. Steve and Rebecca Telg of The Crossing will cater a fajita lunch.

Donations are needed for both a silent auction and live auction. Items can be brought the morning of the Oct. 29.

Ann Hashem Kraf t will attend again with her new book, The Red Diamond of Nadirjna. She will also have copies of her first book, The Opera Ghost Lives.
