Eagles set their sights on road trip to Iola
TEMPLE—Milano recorded its second blowout of the season, taking down Central Texas School on the road Friday night 45-6 at Lions Stadium.
The Eagles are now 2-0 on the young season and will travel to face Iola on Friday night.

THORNDALE—A week after debuting their new spread offense, the Thorndale Bulldogs returned to a more familiar way of winning against a familiar foe.

Frosh stop Salado to remain undefeated
THURSDAY: The junior varsity and freshmen Tigers travel to Cameron with the first game beginning at 5 p.m. The junior high Tigers open the season by hosting Cameron, starting at 4:30 p.m.
The Rockdale Tigers freshman team scored last and held off a Salado rally in posting their second win of the season 28-20. Full Story

Lady Dogs coming off a high note after finish in Round Top
Spikers bash Bremond in final tuneup
The Thorndale Lady Dogs are coming off a high note from their last tournament of the season at Round Top-Carmine.
The team finished third at the tourney, facing defending Class A state champion RTC and district foe Lexington twice.
During Thursday’s pool play, the Lady Dogs lost to RTC and Lexington, but defeated Louise. Full Story
Rockdale student injured on monkey bars
A Rockdale student injured completing a school exercise received blisters on her hands last week.
Freshman Velma Mitchell told Bryan television station KXXV she felt pressured to complete a fitness program exercise last Wednesday and the freshman’s hands became blistered. Full Story
