Thanks for response with DMORT teams

Dear editor,

Stephen Jones of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, and my brother, was called to New York City by DMORT (Disaster Mortuar y Operational Response Teams) after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

He put in ver y long hours every day for two weeks.

I had asked him if he had a chance to go out on the streets and if so, did he ever catch a glimpse of Rudy Giuliani.

Stephen told me Giuliani was always in his office and that TV does not do him justice.

He is ver y caring, lov ing, considerate, and interested in everyone.

Stephen has been called to other disasters over the years, Hurricane Katrina, the Oklahoma City bombing, and the shuttle explosion over Texas.

Oddly enough, disasters do have some interesting stories and many were told all day long on TV specials covering 9-11.

Some of the stories were not aired on the news on the day of the disaster and Stephen has told me some of his experiences.
